So, I am not going to lie…Cardiovascular Fitness is my favorite kind of fitness. I have taught Step, Kickboxing and Cycle for so long and LOVE getting that heart rate really high and working that sweat. To me, there is no better feeling!
But, not everyone feels the same way. For some, it is more of a challenge then lifting weights but I guarantee you that no matter what your cardio choice is the benefits will always outweigh reasons not to do it. Guaranteed.
Obviously, it is a CALORIE BLASTER but the main reason for why it is important to get your cardio in is because it can reduce your risk of developing heart disease by increasing the efficiency of your heart, lungs, and blood vessels. The easier it is to pump blood through your body, the less taxing it is on your heart. Plain and simple.
Not to mention cardio curves your appetite, helps your sleep and boosts your mood through the release of endorphins, which are feel-good chemicals released by your brain. YES PLEASE….for the love of releasing endorphins!
