Time to restart…

I will be the first one to admit that this “Quarantine” time has been a really positive experience. Even through the fear and anxiety that can surface, I find a solitude having my family home. We basically have each other and that is it.

I am mom of teenagers and young adults. For me, the re-connection as been great!

However, the one thing that can really get off track is eating habits. There seems to be no right or wrong time to eat and missing a workout seems to be the “norm”. This routine definitely has been jeopardized and I am soo ready for a RESTART!

One of the best ways for a “restart” is to do a 3-day Detox. Three days where you rid your system of all toxins such as sugar, caffeine, sodium, and etc. Three days where you just feed your body the nutrients it needs. I like this way of detoxing and starting anew because I know I can even do something for just three days!

So, let me break this down for you. It’s three days of juicing. A juice that packed with every nutrient your body craves and desires. Even those you didn’t think you needed!

Day #1 GREEN JUICE
4 apples, cored
2-3 cucumbers
1 handful of parsely
2 handfuls of spinach
4 stalks of kale
1 bunch of celery
1 lemon
1 tsp ginger root

Day #2 Colon Cleanse
10 small cuts of beets
1 bunch of celery
1 handful of cilantro
1 cucumber
1 tsp ginger root
2 lemons
10 romaine lettuce leaves
1 handful of spinach
15 carrots

Day #3 Liver & Kidney Flush
6 apples, cored
10 small cuts of beets
1 bunch of celery
1 handful of spinach
1 cucumber
1 lemon
2 tomatoes
15 carrots

It’s funny how this all works. The first day I do the cleanse, I am all in. Obviously, I have run down my body so much with additives and crap that I get excited to change it up and be healthy. This particular novelty wears down come Day #2. I am hungry. Might even have a lack of caffeine headache. But my stomach is becoming really flat and I feel decent. By the time Day #3 rolls around, I feel like SuperWoman. At that moment, I never want to eat anything that will ever make me feel horrible again. My body becomes my temple, so to speak. It is a great reset and I highly suggest it. Remember, it is only for 3 days. You can do this!
